As Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Student Services Division, I, Prof. Msizi Mkhize, extend the warmest welcome to you as you embark on your journey at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The Student Services Division should be considered as a division that is dedicated to your growth, well-being and success. Through our diverse services, programmes and events, we aim to enrich your university experience beyond the classroom. Our vision is to create an integrated and transformative educational journey that enhances the student experience for the betterment of Higher Education and South Africa. Our mission is to promote a holistic, student-centred experience through our quality co-curricular programmes, services, support and spaces in preparation for students to enter the world of work as well-rounded, socially responsible, global citizens and lifelong learners. Therefore, the Student Services Division is seen as one that enhances student capabilities, provides safe and secured living and learning environment and plays a key role in the positive Student Experience. In light of this, co-curricular activities are essential to a holistic university experience and student development.
As Pro-Vice Chancellor: Student Services Division, I strongly believe these co-curricular activities, that are available through our departments, will complement your academic learning and help you acquire a repertoire of skills and competencies to prepare you for life after graduation.
